Hazzy, on the go

It has finally happened. Hazzy is mobile.

He has mastered the art of 'Commando Crawling'. This morning, I left Hazzy on his play-mat while I went in the bedroom to get changed. But when I got out, he wasn't there any more. He had squirmed his way all the way to the kitchen. I could tell by the cheeky grin on his face that he was mighty proud of himself.

These couple of days, Hazzy had started refusing to sit down. He would stiffen his legs so that he couldn't be bent into a sitting position. It was either standing up or lying down. And he hated lying down. So I had to hold his hands so he could stay standing up. But once he was standing, he couldn't stand still. He wanted to get moving. That leaves one very tired mama. But now that he can move on his own, he is quite content to be left on his own. He probably wants to be left alone while he destroys the computer cords, eats up the mail, and slobbers all over my bag as well.

So phase two of raising a child has commenced. Time to child-proof the house.
