Ever since I had Hazzy, I started noticing the less fortunate children around me. I understood how precious children are to their parents and how heartbroken they would be when they can't care for these children. So this Christmas, when our Bible study group from church brought up Operation Christmas Child appeal, I decided to participate in it as well.
Operation Christmas Child is a project run by the Samaritan's Purse, where shoe boxes filled with Christmas gifts for children living in desperate situations are sent to over 100 countries. We filled our box with toys, stationary and other goods for a 10-14 year old boy and dropped it off at Hope 103.2 today. You can track your box to see who receives your carefully packed gifts. It is a great way to spread the gift of hope and joy to people who really need them, especially during Christmas.
I pray that Hazzy will experience more of the joys of giving, as he grows up.
