My babies are growing up

Something's happened to our Hazzy. He is no longer the careful and clingy toddler that he used to be, but an energetic, talkative and cheeky little boy. He rolls around in sand, climbs up the slippery dip, runs around after other kids and refuses to go home after the end of the day. I had never thought that this day would happen. I thought that Hazzy would forever be the careful and calm boy that he was since a baby. But all that has changed. And I must say that I am thrilled. He is slowly developing his own personality and becoming a little man. I can't wait to see what sort of person this little guy is going to be at three years old.

This little cutie is growing up fast as well. She is so curious about everything around her you could almost see the wonder in her eyes (especially when I use the vacuum cleaner). She reaches out to everything we are holding and tries to stand up every chance she gets. Although she can't quite crawl yet, she still manages to push her body around on her belly somehow. She smiles at her brother's silly-ness and laughs at our ordinary actions, like catching a ball or doing a hi-five. At 9 months she is already so aware of her surroundings that it amazes me.

Alas, my kids are growing up and slowly leaving my side. But this is a good thing. They are mine for a little while, until they are ready to fly solo. Meanwhile, I will enjoy all the kisses and cuddles, soft whispers and wrinkly smiles, small hands and chubby cheeks, and their silly games and boisterous laughs.
