Hazzy is man enough

Meet Hazzy's twin sister, Hazel.
Hazzy always had a big head of hair. While I was brushing my son's tangled hair the other day, I thought maybe I'll try tying his hair just to see how it looks. And ta-da~ I have a daughter! Now I understand why so many of my male friends admitted that they had photos of themselves in ribbons and pink hair clips when they were babies. How can you resist when your baby looks this pretty? I mean, Hazzy already gets his fair share of, "How old is she?" without the hair-do so I should've known.

But if you think about it, a simple hairstyle isn't what defines one's masculinity. Same as wearing pink or playing with dolls. What comes to my mind when I think of a mature man is honour, leadership, strength and courage. Hopefully I can instil these values into Hazzy so he'll grow up to be a good man.

Having said that, I still cringe when I see men wearing skinny jeans or eye make-up. But that might have more to do with bad taste in fashion rather than masculinity.
