Do you love wool?

Knitting is trending these days, which is great since I'm kind of addicted to it. The greatest yarn to use when knitting is the good old wool, because it is more forgiving with uneven knitting or mistakes in your knitting. As in, it doesn't show as much and you can always wash it and block it into the desirable shape you want. Wool is also an all natural fiber that “breathes”, insulates the body in hot or cold weather, helps conserve heating and air conditioning fuels, and seldom catches fire. Perfect for a home with children. These days, you can even get wool that are machine washable, which gives us more reasons to love them.

This is the shawl I've been working on recently. I am using Noro Kureyon wool, colour #219. Noro yarns are Japanese hand dyed yarns that are famous for their wonderful variegated colours. I have 30 more rows to go and am hoping to finish it before the weather gets completely warm. Shawls and throw blankets keep you much warmer than you think, so you might want to try these before you turn up the heating in your home.

Let's show our love for wool again, shall we?
