9 months ago today, there was a dramatic change in my life, when this little guy entered my world. In 9 months, this baby has managed to become such a significant part of me that it hurts to even think about life without him. It's quite amazing if you think about it, really. All he did was be a tiny, helpless little being, and yet he has become the apple of my eye. There are plenty of other cute and helpless babies out there, but this is the only one that can warm my heart with such intense love. It is quite magical. Maybe God had to make it this way so selfish people like us could give self-sacrificial love to our children. But sacrifice feels sweet when it is for the one you love. I guess that's why God tells us to live to serve others rather than your own selfish desires. Because that is what actually makes your life sweeter.
