Hazzy's first hair cut

Hazzy was born with lots of hair. I believed it added to his adorableness and refused to shave it off on his 100 day, as you do in Korean tradition. But Hazzy's hair was starting to get out of hand. This is how mad he looked last Monday.

I was waiting for the chance to cut his hair and today the opportunity finally came. Hazzy took a late nap, meaning we would have some time between his dinner and bath before he got cranky. As soon as Hazzy finished dinner, I sat him on the Bumbo and turned on his favourite song on Youtube while I got things ready.

Technically speaking, this isn't Hazzy's first hair cut.  He did get a slight trim off the back at the salon when I got my hair cut six months ago because he was starting to grow a mullet. However, it was my first time having a go at it so let's just call it Hazzy's first hair cut by mum. I was a bit scared I'll cut too much, plus Hazzy kept on brushing my hand away or reaching for the scissor which made it very hard to keep going. So this is the result. Still a lot of hair, but nice and neat.

This 'How to trim a baby's hair' video helped a lot. I have a feeling I'll be getting lots of practice from Hazzy before turning pro and trying my hands on hubby's hair. Watch out, hubby. One day, I just might cut your hair while you are sleeping, like Delilah did.
