New Year Resolutions

It is that time of the year again when one must make new year resolutions.
Now, I know some of you might argue that making resolutions is a waste of time, but I've tried living without one because of that thought, which resulted in an achievement of 0 compared to the 10 or so percent with a resolution. The fact is, it's hard for us to get motivated without a measurable goal. If I attain my goals, that's fantastic. But even if I don't I'll know that I strive to be better. So here goes my resolutions.

I resolve to:
  • Exercise at least 3 times a week (physical)
  • Read the Bible and pray everyday (spiritual)
  • Read at least 1 book a month (mental)
  • Develop close relationships with friends (social)
FranklinCovey Mission Statement Builder helped me a great deal in defining my goals and seeing what I should focus on. It basically asks questions about how you live which helps you realise your values behind them. This will help you set your mission in life. For those of you who haven't made your resolutions yet, I urge you to try this test out. It just might give you a better understanding of yourself.

Last but not least, happy new year everyone! May God bring you many blessings this year, as He does every year.

Happy 2013 !!!
